Star Wars Pumpkin Stencils

“STAR WARS” PUMPKIN STENCILS

“Star Wars” was released in public theaters for the first time by 20th Century Fox in May of 1977 and immediately became a pop culture marvel. To distinguish this film from all the ensuing sequels and prequels which sprouted one after the other, a subtitle was added, “A New Hope”, to its original name. “Star Wars” soon became a franchise of its own and generated other “Star Wars” media such as novels, television series, video games and comic books. In addition, the “Star Wars” franchise developed and marketed toys, board games, clothing, costumes, and much more.

The six “Star Wars” films alone generated revenues of over US$4.3 billion between 1977 and 2008 which ranks the “Star Wars” franchise as one of the most successful in history. And these astounding dollar figures do not include revenues from the sales of any of the other media nor merchandise. A new “Star Wars” film will be released in theaters around the world in August of 2008 and this one is expected to surpass the other films in box office revenues.

“Star Wars” takes place in a fictional galaxy whose inhabitants are completely human-like although many are also alien beings from other galaxies as well as robotic creatures that were built to serve. Some of the main characters in the “Star War” films are:

1. Anakin Skywalker is the child of parthenogenesis and he is discovered by a Jedi Knight who believes him to be the “chosen one.”
2. Qui-Gon Jinn is the Jedi Knight who discovered Anakin Skywalker and pronounced him the “chosen one.”
3. Yoda is the leader of the Jedi Council.
4. Obi-Wan Kenobi is Qui-Gon Jinn’s apprentice and he trained Anakin Skywalker after Qui-Gon Jinn was killed. He was later renamed Ben Kenobi.
5. Padme Amidala is the queen of Naboo, a planet under attack.
6. Palpatine is a senator in the planet Naboo who is planning to overthrow its senate and, eventually, to take over the entire galaxy. He also goes by the name Sith Lord Darth Sidious.
7. Leia Organa is a princess who stole plans to the Death Star.
8. Luke Skywalker is the son of Anakin Skywalker.
9. Han Solo and Chewabacca are a pilot and a co-pilot hired by Ben Kenobi and Luke Skywalker.

“Star Wars” has made a tremendous impact around the world and left not a single market or niche untouched; including sound tracks and lyrics to songs as well as, of course, Halloween and pumpkin carving stencils.

Just about any store or website which sells pumpkin carving stencils also includes “Star Wars” pumpkin stencils of the characters I have listed and described above. So, this coming Halloween do not let yourself be left out in the cold and outside the wide-reaching realm of the “Star Wars.” Acquire a pumpkin carving stencil featuring any of the “Star Wars” characters or even several of them and carve yourself the most amazing Jack O’ Lantern you have ever carved before. Also, remember that Halloween comes around only once a year and it deserves the best reception you can possibly give it. With that in mind, why not make this Halloween a “Star Wars” Halloween by also decorating with “Star Wars” motifs, by dressing in a “Star Wars” costume and even by organizing a “Star Wars” theme party. Why not?
